Robert B. Parker, John Sandford (Prey Series), Harlen Coben, Greg Iles, some of Sandra Brown. Tons of great authors. I read 8 to 10 books a week, a mixture of fiction and non fiction and although some are obviously better than others I sincerely enjoy them all. Also Johathan and Fay Kellerman, Alafair Burke and James Lee Burke (Dave Robichaux series)

Anybody read Kelly Armstrong and her Nadia Stafford ?
Loved first book 'Exit strategy' when 2nd is too much alike too predictable, still I'll read third one hoping something new will pop, when there won't be new Spetta any time soon when I need to fill my norm of books I read.

Ali and sloeval, thanks for your input. I will not read Genesis from your analysis. I was a huge Jeffrey fan, and loved the dynamic between Sara and him. I want Sara happy and happy with Jeffrey. That is out of the question, and I really can't find good reason to take this book on. For me, it sounds like another Last Precinct- which was a life without Benton book. I know many liked TLP, I did not- and found myself hurting so badly for Kay.

Thanks again for your input........I am going to leave Genesis alone.

Hey now guys don't be so harsh I like frustrated & complex Lena, I don't agree with her on some subjects but without her and without Jeffrey I don't know, really do I want to read new book? Only about Sara's life true I liked her more with every book reason of not liking her is in first books and her distaste of Lena then what would turn out of books if there were only good & bad guys we need something between as well, some gray area.

Genesis is the life after Jeffery book. Its about Sara's life, and is set three and a half years after Jeffery. I don't know if you have read her Will Trent series but Genesis also has Will Trent and Faith Mitchell in it. I won't give too much away, but it is set three and a half years after Jeffery but also talks about what Sara has been through in those years and how she coped after. Its a hard read if you like the character Sara because you just want her to be happy which she isn't. She doesn't live in Grant county any more but moved to Georgia to get away. The story line other than the Sara stuff is pretty gruesome. I do recommend it, but it wasn't the same without Jeffery i definitely missed his presence in the book. Oh and Lena wasn't in the book at all except that she wrote a letter to Sara about Jeffery that Sara didn't open until the end of the book, but the reader didn't get to know what the letter said!! Frustrating!!! Slaughter has just written a new book that is due for release in June in the US its called 'Broken' and is a combination Sara and Will Trent book again. Oh and i agree with you, i'm not a big fan of Lena either.

Hope this helps in your decision to read or not to read! :)

Is Genesis the book after......life after Jeffrey? I read how Slaughter cried knowing what she did to Jeffrey, but he was my favorite character. Lena? Reallly do not like her all that much......so it is just whether or not I like Sara or not. I swore I would not read another Slaughter book without Jeffrey. Is Genesis worth the read? Can I forgive Slaughter?
