*LOL* I'm the same way, Lenka. I always look forward to talking with you guys. I come home, turn on the computer, and hit PC's webpage first. I love having someone to talk with about these books.
I just got my friend Ashley reading them. She's almost finished with Post-Mortem, and came to my house to get Body of Evidence. I can't wait till she reads the end of Post-Mortem. The killer in that one surprised me when he ended up in Kay's house and in her bedroom *LOL* I can't wait to see Ashley's reaction to that!
Yes, Righter is an idiot!! Ugh! He needs to be off of this case.
Okay, was anyone else shocked when Rocky came into the picture? Oh my gosh!! Marino's own son is trying to mess with them.
I was also shocked to read that Anna is a snitch on Kay, but not on purpose, or by her own will. Righter got info out of her about Kay. He questioned her state of sanity......WHAT?? Kay is an intelligent woman, and handles her job professionally. Like I said, he's an idiot!!
I'm glad that Marino is starting to befriend Kay again. I don't like them not close. He even got emotional talking about Kay quitting. He called the morgue a "stink hole", telling her she's the only reason he spends as much time there as he does. I think his crush on her is kinda cute *LOL*
Well ladies, I am off to eat dinner, then take a nap before work. Night shift is getting to be the pits. I am sick of it. 7 years of night shift wears you out. But, with going to school, it works for my schedule.
Oh yeah, damn is not a bad word. I am obssessed too. Sometimes, I even think about Kay when I see a black Mercedes....ha ha!! Or Marino when I see an unmarked police cruiser. Yeah....I'm bad too!! These books are super addictive!!

I have finished The Last precinct early this morning. What a mind blowing stuff. Already started Blow fly. Oh no!! Kay just gave up her position as CME of Virginia!! Awww.....how sad! I'm on the first page of Chapter 19. Her driving away from the governor's mansion, and looking back made me sad.
I hope she goes to work with Lucy and Teun McGovern though! I'm thinking she will, since this book is called "The Last Precinct" and that is what Lucy calls her business.

I am on Chapter 16 now. Holy smokes....Jamie Berger and Marino cracked me up!! Ha ha ha ha!!! She put him in his place, that was awesomely funny!! Clearly, she does not like the word "tit" *LOL*
Kay just saw the video where Berger was questioning "wereworlf". Wow....that guy is a good liar! Amazing how he wasn't hairy, that stress has done that to him. Unless he was lying, and I misunderstood somewhere.
My goodness, she's certainly getting personal and knows an awful lot about Kay. I feel bad for her. Her life is so private, and she's worked hard to keep it that way. Now it's all public and everyone is invading.
I wanna know why Marino is so secret with her. Him and Kay go way back. Why hid stuff?
Jay is making me sicker by the moment. First, he lies about Kay. Saying she got jealous when they went to dinner over some girl that he was supposedly looking at. Now, he's telling everyone they had sex, he's gossiping about it. Ugh! Can ya say immature?? Ha ha! Guys are so dumb *LOL*
I'm liking Jamie though. She's very thorough in what she does. I just hope she's doing Kay good, and not doing something behind her back to hurt her credibility.
Wow, you are fast, Lenka. I'm only on page 275. I have half the book left. I miss Lucy, she hasn't been mentioned for a while. I don't think since they went Christmas shopping. Marino has mentioned her, but she hasn't been focused on for a while.

Hi you guys.
Just got back from work. Having a nice cup of tea.
I guess they have to do a autopsy on the execution, because it is not natural death. I think I will have to research that one. Good ol' internet.
So Emily your sisters husband goes to Russia quite a lot. Thats just round the corner from Slovakia. Does he speak Russian? I know a few words, but not many. I understand when they talk though, cos its similar to my language.
My neighbors can be pretty loud sometimes. The other night I did not get to sleep till 3am, cos they were in the garden and played music very loud. On top of it they let off fireworks. Great, when you have to get up at 6am to go to work. I considered call in the cops. The law is you can not let off fireworks after 11pm. But I didnt. I am nice like that you see. However I was cursing quite a lot.
I am on chapter 26. I think Key has a great respect for Jamie, because they are so similar in a way. Had to "fight" to get where they are. Job- wise. I suppose its not quite obvious yet. I have read Scarpetta so thats my impresion. there is nice and interesting development in that book about Jamie. I should shut up now though, so I will not spoil it for you. Just have to say I dont like that Jay at all right now.
Hey Randi, so your horse is a little pudgy. Greedy thing, eating all the grass. And back to the noisy neighbor. It is good to let of some steam now and then. With me it is all the time. Usually my boss makes me pretty mad. She can be soooooooooo anoying and nasty. As I said before if that was possible, she could be Brays relative. Or PC knows her and created a character based on her. LOL See I am letting of steam now.

I had that same question, Randi, when I read that one. Why autopsy an execution? What was Kay's reason? Cause, manner and everything were already known.
Man, that stinks about your neighbor waking you up. I know how you feel. Even though we don't have washers and dryers in our rooms, living in a dorm is like an apartment; loud neighbors....ha ha!!! Parties while you're trying to sleep and study suck!
Lenka, yes, I have four sisters. Three live in Lafayette, which is a city about an hour and a half south of where I am. My oldest sister lives in New Jersey. (But unlike Marino, she likes it there...ha ha ha ha!!!!) I have three older, and one younger. We all get along pretty well. Oh cool, you have Skype? I want a webcamera sooooo bad so I can do that. My sister uses it to talk to her husband when he has to leave for work. He's with an oil company, and goes to Russia for a month, then comes home for a month. So, that's how they stay in touch when he's gone.
For some reason, I am taking soooooooo long to read this book. I just got on Chapter 9. There is something I can't figure out though. Does Kay like this Jamie Berger woman? I am having trouble deciding that. They just went to Bray's funeral, and are headed to Kay's office to talk. Kay just talked on the phone to Governor Mitchell, and he asked her if she could see him, he needed to talk to her. She said she could in two hours.
Kay is locked out of her own bay, cause she doesn't have her opener; it's in her car that she can't use. Man!! They need to give her life back to her! Sheesh! Stop invading her space, already!! Ha ha!! She just had to wake up the security guard to let her in. Sleeping on the job is not good, I think I'd be afraid to sleep while working if I worked for her. She sounds like she can get pretty angry if she needs to. Yikes! Well, she didn't fuss at him, but some others have gotten it pretty bad in past books.
Well, I'm off to sleep! I hope you girls are having a great day (or night, depending on your time zone!) It's almost 10am here! I guess I will catch ya later!

Soooooooooo... I am up at 2 in the morning because some annoying neighbor woke me up when she decided to start the dryer in the basement at 1 am - and that makes so much noise in my appartment I may as well try to go to sleep on a freeway!!! AAAAAAAAAAAARGH.... okay just blowing off steam... calming down now... a little....
Lenka, I loooove my little Herbert :-) but it would be nice to own a new car... The Ka is kinda like my horse actually: round and pudgy :-) My horse is an Irish cob yearling and a little on the heavy side right now with all the grass he's eating ;-)
I've just started on Cruel and Unusual and something occured to me. The book begins with Ronnie Joe Wardell's execution and Kay autopsies him afterwards... Why autopsy someone when the method, manner and cause of death is very much known??? just a thought...
