HELLO to you
Just woke up, could not resist to had to peu the computer on and find out, if you finiched TLP. I knew I didi't like Jay for some reason. What a creep.
The AA group sounds ok to me. Will probably need it. Yup I wish the three of us lived closer.
About 200 pages to go of Blow fly. It is amazing. Really like Jamie Berger, she is sooooooo cool. Mind you most of the characters are. These books are just fantastic. I wish I read them about 10 years ago. I think my life would be little bit different, cos the books have such an impact on me. But never mind. Try to live with no regrets, its sometimes very hard.
Good God listen to me I dont know whats got me this morning. Its probably, cos its my birthday this week and getting depressed or somthing. LOL. NO that cant be it. I am not that old anyway. HI HI HI.
Anyway have to go get ready for work.

Okay, so I couldn't resist. I went and bought Blow Fly just a little while ago. I'm not finished The Last Precinct yet, I have not read any today. Hopefully, I will finish it sometime this week. I can't finish one though, without the next *LOL*
Jay Talley is now in question about all that's going on. Marino made me laugh. He asked Kay if she had anything that might have a stain on it for his DNA from when they were in Paris. She said "Shut up, Marino." HA HA HA HA!!! Wow.....all that's coming out about Benton is interesting. Jay Talley has an apartment in New York, paid for by some air freight company...hmmmm....and he drove Jean Baptiste around. I am so excited to see how Benton comes back. I think it would be so funny if he just knocked on the door and said "Merry Christmas......did ya miss me??" *LOL* Ya know, since it's Christmas Day in the book. Now that's gonna be interesting how he's brought back from "the dead".
Yeah, we may need to start a group, an international group, Scarpetta Anonymous....ha ha ha! You know, like AA, the alcohol addiction group? We might need some serious help when we reach the end. Hopefully, Ms. Cornwell will keep writing faster than I can read. Ha!
I got an email about Scarpetta being released in paperback. I really want that one. I have all paperback, so getting only one in hardback would look funny. I'll have to think about pre-ordering it.

Where are ya? I hope you didn't abandon me. did you? Cos I would cry my eyes out.
As I understand Emily you've got 3 chapters to go. Its awsome isn't it? Blow fly is even better. The chapters are short , so you have got to turn pages as fast as you can. What a read that is. Half way through it already. I try not to read too fast, but as that seem a good plan it doesn't work.
The most annoying part is when I am at work, get to a good bit and my break is over. Sooooooooooooooo frustrating. I've taken to sitting in my car now at lunch time to read. Oh that peace and quiet. Wonderful. Today dragged at work. What a nightmare. Finally I am home so I can get back to reading. Didn't read much yesterday, went to a party, came back at about 1am and had to read few chapters. Had to have a fix of course.LOL ...............Addiction is growing. What on earth Am I going to do when I read them all. Would need a therapist to get me through my difficult time HI HI HI. Have you gotten far in Blow Fly yet, Lenka? Wow.....Benton is back already?? I can't wait to read how that happens! I already know he returns, cause I read them out of order *LOL* So while reading The Last Precinct, and also Black Notice, I already knew he wasn't dead.
I can't believe that he saw Anna. I just read the letter that she wrote to Kay, and left on her bed. That explains his mood change that Kay was describing. I wouldn't go back to Hilton Head if I were Anna though. Ugh....too many memories.
Ha! I was surprised when I realized that Kay bought that hammer after Bray's death.....I had forgotten that detail. Hmm....I wonder how this will end up. I hate that Kay is a murder suspect; and everyone, including Marino at times, is treating her like a criminal. I think it's funny she used it on chicken to get the pattern of the injury marks and that the chicken in the evidence room at the police station.
I just got on Chapter 30, and I'm like 6 pages into it. This book is taking me forever to read, I dont know why. I'm enjoying it very much though. It's exciting!

I know how you must feel, when you ill and the doctors got no proper answer to what is wrong with you. Happens to me all the time. Thats why I avoid the hospitals and doctors as much as is humanly possible.
Randi is right about the thing that after the Last Precinct, its an end to Scarpetta as we know her, however we are left with even better one. Already started Blow fly and I am a bit mad with Marino, Lucy and Benton as well. Thats all I will say at this point.
Oh, before I forget as I promised I've had done some research. Remeber the question you asked about the autopsy after execution? Well all I could find was this: "The medical examiner's role is to ensure, that the execution is carried out acording to law, that it doesn't violate the constitutional rights of the condemned prisoner. I know not much of an explanation.
Now enough of the that. Move on to more cheerful subject.
You know what Emily I do the same thing every time I see black mercedes.( Think of Kay,. How wonderfully weird is that.) Could not resist and had to googled Louisiana, Alexandria to see what is like there. Man oh man its sound terrific and the pictures are amazing. Love the old buildings and surroundings. You are sooooooooooooo lucky. Yup, I can imagine myself living there. On the second thought I dont know about the hurricanes though. Hate thunderstorms. When I was growing up we used to have very bad storms in Slovakia in the summer. There are not many in England, so its works out ok for me. But I miss the hot summers nights, and proper snow in the winter. Well cant have everything in life. Shame.
Take it easy on that night shift. Seven years is a long time I know I could not do that. And than study in the day. Take my hat off to you ma'am.
Today I interviewed some people. It kinda took its toll on me. I am soooo tired. Its not easy to concentrate when its some hot person sitting in a chair in front of you.LOL But hey I am a proffesional and can handle it.(Really)

Yeah, I've been a little MIA the past few days... I feel about ready to pull my head off and hand it to Scarpetta so she can figure out whats wrong with it...
I've had constant ringing in my ears, 24 hours a day for months now and it feels like my skull isn't big enough for my brain so there's this pressure in my head all the time... keep running to the doctor and she keeps ordering tests but everything is "within normal limits", like our dear Kay would say...
So I'm not writing much here and I'm not reading much, which sucks. I keep putting the book next to me whereever I am but I just don't have the brainpower to open it...
Anyway enough about my sorry life...
The last Precint is one of my favorites and one of the worst book in the series. I love that we get to be so close with Kay in her conversations with Anna but the book is just sooooo sad. Like Emily wrote, when Kay has to give up her position as CME, and Benton is gone, and Talley's an ass... Plus after this book, nothing is the same - It's the end of Scarpetta as we know her...
When I read the Last Precint, Blow Fly hadn't come out yet, and I wondered through the whole book if Benton was really dead
